Commercially farmed rabbits commonly have little or no coliform colonisation of their digestive tract. As such, they are very susceptible to infections that prevail from time to time in production units.
The result is diarrhoea and subsequent drop in performance along with elevated mortality levels.
Employing the natural antibacterial technology of the Genex range, Optivite has been able to develop a rabbit-specific product to control the coliform and other bacterial contamination entering the system via the feed and drinking water systems. Genex Lap has given exceptional results in a variety of farming situations.
3-5 days after treating grower feed with Genex Lap:
- diarrhoea stops
- rabbits become cleaner
- mortality is reduced
- performance is normalised
