Facilities are not always available for the addition of liquid oils and fats at the point of feed manufacture; the Optifat range of Fat Premixes is designed to overcome these difficulties either on farm or in the feed mill.

In order to maintain performance and fertility require feed energy levels greater than that provided by cereals alone. This is normally provided by the addition of fats and oils to the ration. It is important to match the type of fat to the target species, thus ensuring that optimum performance is achieved.

Optifats are free flowing granular powders which combine the dual benefits of ease of handling and convenience with quality digestible energy. The range comprises fat premixes for ruminant, pig, poultry and general purpose use. In addition to their nutritional value the Optifat products also work effectively as dust suppressants.

To specifically enhance milk butterfats and yields, Optigold and Optilac respectively provides quality energy on a carefully formulated absorbant base. This base is designed to release the energy in a controlled manner thus leading to maximum digestibility and milk quality. Furthermore there is no reduction in feed intakes often associated with other forms of supplementary dairy fat.
